Privacy Policy

Vibers Log is developed by Andrew Hoffart. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information Collection

Vibers Log does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with third parties. The app does not require account creation or user authentication beyond your Apple ID for iCloud sync.

iCloud Sync

Vibers Log uses Apple's iCloud with CloudKit to sync your journal entries, photos, and settings across your Apple devices. All data is stored in your private CloudKit database, which only you can access. This data is encrypted and managed entirely by Apple in accordance with Apple's privacy policies. The developer does not have access to your synced data.

Local Data Storage

Your journal entries, photos, and app settings are stored locally on your device. Photos are stored in the app's private container and are not added to your Photos library unless you explicitly choose to save them separately.

App Group Data Sharing

Vibers Log uses App Groups to share data between the main app and home screen widgets. This sharing happens entirely on your device and is used solely to display your journal entries and settings in widgets. No data leaves your device through this mechanism.

In-App Purchases

Vibers Log offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade purchase. All purchases are processed securely through Apple's App Store. The developer does not receive or store payment information. Purchase status is synced through Apple's StoreKit framework.

Analytics and Tracking

Vibers Log does not use any third-party analytics services, tracking tools, or advertising networks. The app does not track your usage or behavior in any way.

Photos and Camera

If you choose to add photos to your journal entries, the app will request permission to access your photo library. Selected photos are copied into the app's private storage and are not modified or shared. The app does not access your photo library metadata or location information from photos.

Children's Privacy

Vibers Log is suitable for users of all ages. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. All data management is handled locally on the device or through Apple's secure iCloud service.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your journal data remains on your device and in your private iCloud storage until you choose to delete it. You can delete individual entries, entire projects, or uninstall the app to remove all local data. To remove iCloud data, you can disable iCloud sync for Vibers Log in your device Settings, which will delete synced data from iCloud.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
