Privacy Policy

Propito is developed by Andrew Hoffart. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information Collection

Propito does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with third parties. The app does not require account creation or user authentication beyond your Apple ID for iCloud sync.

iCloud Sync

Propito uses Apple's iCloud with CloudKit to sync your property data, visits, receipts, and settings across your Apple devices. All data is stored in your private CloudKit database, which only you can access. This data is encrypted and managed entirely by Apple in accordance with Apple's privacy policies. The developer does not have access to your synced data.

Local Data Storage

Your property records, visits, receipts, photos, and app settings are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Photos attached to receipts and visits are stored in the app's private container and are not added to your Photos library unless you explicitly choose to save them separately.

App Group Data Sharing

Propito uses App Groups to share data between the main app, the Share Extension, and home screen widgets. This sharing happens entirely on your device and is used solely to display your property stats and subscription status in widgets. No data leaves your device through this mechanism.

In-App Subscriptions

Propito offers an optional monthly Pro subscription that unlocks unlimited properties, premium themes, property groups, data export, and home screen widgets. All purchases are processed securely through Apple's App Store via StoreKit. The developer does not receive or store payment information. Subscription status is verified directly through Apple's StoreKit transaction system and is never transmitted to any external server.

Analytics and Tracking

Propito does not use any third-party analytics services, tracking tools, or advertising networks. The app does not track your usage or behavior in any way.

Photos and Camera

If you choose to add photos to visits or receipts, the app will request permission to access your photo library or camera. Selected photos are copied into the app's private storage and are not modified or shared. The app does not access photo library metadata or location information embedded in photos.

Children's Privacy

Propito is not directed at children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. All data management is handled locally on the device or through Apple's secure iCloud service.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device and in your private iCloud storage until you choose to delete it. You can delete individual visits, receipts, or properties at any time within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all local data. To remove iCloud data, disable iCloud sync for Propito in your device Settings, which will delete synced data from iCloud.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
